I took George back to the Vet last Thursday for a follow up exam and another blood test to see if he’s taking the right amount of Tapazole (the medicine for his hyperthyroid) and all I can say is “WOW! I should have been a Vet!”.
The quick little exam was another $250.00 touch. The cats great but I was wishing I had some pet insurance or something to soak up the last few vet visits. Apparently he’s checking out OK other than he’s still loosing weight!
He weighed in at 5 lbs 12 oz and all the vet could do was shrug and say “He’s skinny”. And skinny he is”. Last month he weight in at 6 lbs 3 oz and the month before he was 6 lbs 8 oz. What’s scary is that a year ago he was about 14 lbs. Below on the left is a picture from today and on the right one from a year ago.
I don’t mean to complain, I love the cat but I’ve also spent around $1,500.00 this year on his care, it’s a lot of cash to spend now considering that I’ve got a wedding coming up in November. Hopefully George is on his way back up to a healthy weight.
